I've been building Debian packages of the mplayer.git snapshots. The packages are based on a slightly modified version of Christian Marillat's mplayer packaging. These packages are working pretty well for me and have some new features relative to the main mplayer tree. Most importantly, they support Matroska linked segments and ordered chapters.

Hopefully this is just a short-term measure until these features finally enter the mainstream packages. My packaging can be found here: http://www.gnifty.net/code/mplayer/

I built the debian packages for ifpgui 1.0 yesterday. Then this morning I watched the kfreebsd builders error out because they apparently couldn't be bothered to get libusb-1.0-0 working in kfreebsd so they just declared libusb2-dev provided libusb-1.0-0-dev. So, for now at least (probably however long ifpgui uses libusb 1.0 explicitly) it's only getting built for linux-any. Updated the control, submitted -2, watching it wend through the builders now.

9 out of 10 monkeys if given keyboards will find Facebook sucks as a blogging platform. The smart ones realize they do not want or need to pointlessly broadcast their uneducated opinions at the Internet anyway. For whatever reason, today I'm feeling like a dumb monkey.
